To make a village

Commercial Architecture Is Our Specialty

There’s a reason that businesses, educational and religious operations have trusted Ehresman Architects for so many years — design, productivity and proficiency.

The firm was founded in 1981, and is aptly named after our founder, Dale Ehresman. After Dale’s retirement, the firm was left in the capable hands of partners Marc Chamberlin and Elizabeth Bye; where they continue to leave a mark throughout the Great Lakes area, creating and enriching an abundance of businesses, schools, churches, retail spaces, sports complexes, and of course our beloved Detroit Zoo.

The key to our award-winning success is client involvement. Every project has unique requirements, and to ensure that they are met, we embrace a partnership that encourages participation with each project representative. We listen and work closely with our clients to create a design solution that meets their needs and expectations. Our design approach is founded on listening, communicating, and responding — it’s our foundation, so to speak.

Where Ingenuity and Creativity Combine

The left brain is the more analytical side; calculating and scientific. The right brain is the creative side; emotional and conceptual. When you combine those two sides, it results in a perfect balance that we like to call architecture.
