Building & Site Improvements

Belle Isle Nature Center

Project Challenge

The existing building is made up of 3 intersecting circles. This shape made detailing replacement siding and windows tricky. The segmented clerestory windows use an adjustable mullion to create the custom radius.

Complete interior and exterior remodeling of the Belle Isle Nature Zoo as well as landscaping and parking improvements. Interior improvements include new flooring, custom wall finishes, acoustic treatments, HVAC replacement, a child’s play area, new welcome desk, and new restroom finishes.

Exterior building improvements include new siding, lighting, windows, and roofing. Materials, equipment and landscaping were selected to be environmentally friendly and sustainable.
